Arnold faces a maximum of life in prison if he is found guilty of multiple felonies, which include kidnapping and armed robbery. Arnold has been released on $1 million bond and, in a move that came as a shock to many, will not need to wear any sort of GPS monitoring as he awaits his first days in court.
Arnold had the length, quick first step, and skill in press-man schemes that Detroit wanted to see when they made him the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, Arnold found that life in the pros was a bit more difficult than dominating future used car salesmen in the SEC, and his ups and downs were frustrating to Lions fans.

However, before Arnold had his run-ins with the law, the Lions did not make any major monetary or scouting investments at the cornerback position. They can deny it all they want, but they expected Arnold to take a huge leap forward in 2026, and Sheppard knows he had the talent to make that leap.
Sheppard's quote on Arnold is emblematic of the profound feeling of disappointment that is permeating through the organization.
