Top Detroit Lions player props for Week 14 at Chicago Bears

Here are our top Detroit Lions player props for Week 14 against the Chicago Bears.

Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

Before getting into this week's Detroit Lions player props, as usual, let's see how last week's prop bets did.

WR Jameson Williams, 40-plus receiving yards (+240 DraftKings; +188, FanDuel): 11 receiving yards
Williams, Over 2.5 receptions (+150, DraftKings): 1 catch
RB David Montgomery, Over 62.5 rushing yards (-114, FanDuel): 56 rushing yards

Ouch. It's been rare to go 0-for-3 on any bets this season. But on to a new week, as the Lions travel to take on the Chicago Bears in Week 14. The Lions rallied to win the first matchup, 31-26, back in Week 11. The Bears have been playing better lately, and they are coming off their bye week presumably fresh to get a little revenge on the Lions.

It can definitely be worse weather-wise in Chicago in December. But the forecast is calling for there to be noticeable wind, with temps will the upper 30s and a chance for precipitation at Soldier Field on Sunday.

Via the sportsbook noted, here are our top Lions' player props for Week 14.

Top Detroit Lions player props for Week 14 at the Chicago Bears

QB Jared Goff, Under 32.5 pass attempts (-130, FanDuel)

Goff threw three interceptions against the Bears in Week 11, and while at least one wasn't his fault he also had one or two that were dropped by Chicago defenders. The conditions on Sunday will not be ideal for him to throw the ball a lot, or to do so effectively if he has to. The term "Goff is an indoor cat" i appropriate here, which is one reason he doesn't belong in fantasy lineups this week.

The under on 31.5 pass attempts for Goff (-105, DraftKings) is an enticing bet to consider. But I went up one attempt, and with the under, over on FanDuel.

WR Jameson Williams, Anytime touchdown (+380, DraftKings; +500, FanDuel)

That said, regarding Goff's pass attempts on Sunday, Williams only needs to connect on one to score.

Williams of course had a touchdown in the first game against the Bears, a 32-yarder that kickstarted the Lions' fourth quarter comeback. Explosive plays like that have been a bit of an issue for the Bears, and as noted by Mike Payton of AtoZ Sports they probably haven't faced as many deep passes as they should be.

It may take going in the right direction of the field Sunday (i.e., not into the wind). But a Williams anytime touchdown at this kind of plus-money is impossible to ignore.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Over 9.5 rushing attempts (+112, FanDuel; +110 Draft Kings)

The run game will definitely be prominent in the Lions' offensive game plan on Sunday. David Montgomery will get his carries, especially as more of a straight-line runner in what could be rougher weather and residually bad field conditions. But Gibbs will get his chances too.

Gibbs had less than 10 total opportunities in Week 13, his lowest total since Week 1. He is in line to get some passing game targets as wind likely limits Goff's downfield passing. But double-digit carries also feels good to bet on, and the over on 9.5 at a little plus-money beckons.
