Before the unveil of Week 13's Detroit Lions prop bets, let's take a look at how Week 12's prop bets did.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 7.5 Receptions (+120, DraftKings, FanDuel): 9 receptions
RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Over 3.5 receptions (-145, DraftKings; -158, FanDuel): 4 receptions
WR Jameson Williams, Anytime touchdown (+410, FanDuel; +270, DraftKings): 0 touchdowns
Two out of three is never a bad week on the prop bets. But now it's on to Week 13, as the Lions will travel to take on the New Orleans Saints. It looks like a good spot for the Lions to get back on track, against a team that's not as good as they are and is dealing with some key injuries.
Via the sportsbook noted, here are our top Lions prop bets for Week 13.
Best Detroit Lions prop bets for Week 13 at Saints
WR Jameson Williams, 40-plus receiving yards (+240 DraftKings; +188, FanDuel)
Williams set a career-best for snap share in Week 11 (65 percent), then followed that with a career-high snap count in Week 12 (53; 63 percent snap share). He hasn't been getting a ton of targets (three in each of the last two games), but this week offensive coordinator Ben Johnson teased a changing tide in that regard.
He (Williams) continues to get out there, and the ball is going to just start gravitating to him just a little bit more than it already has, But he’s going a really nice job, and he just needs to continue to put in the work like he’s doing right now."
The Saints are all-around a strong pass defense, 11th in DVOA so far this season. But cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) is on IR, and starting safety Marcus Maye (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week.
Williams has cleared 40 yards in back-to-back games. Give him a few more targets, and even one big play, and 40-plus receiving yards on Sunday feels like easy money.
Jameson Williams, Over 2.5 receptions (+150, DraftKings)
In line with Williams earning more targets, surely starting Sunday, a low over/under on a catches prop becomes enticing. Over 2.5 receptions, at nice plus-money, is easy here.
RB David Montgomery, Over 62.5 rushing yards (-114, FanDuel)
The Saints are a top half of the league run defense overall this season. But over their last three games they have allowed 156 (Week 9, Chicago Bears), 125 (Week 10, Minnesota Vikings) and 228 (Week 12, Atlanta Falcons) rushing yards. Defensive end Cameron Jordan and linebacker Pete Werner may be in danger of missing Sunday's game.
In all seven games he has played and finished healthy this season, Montgomery has topped 65 yards on the ground with over 70 in all but one of those. Even in a workload split with Jahmyr Gibbs, there will be plenty of good production to go around.
Montgomery is a comfortable bet for an anytime touchdown every week. But over on this yardage total can't be turned down this week.
