Is Frank Ragnow playing this week? Latest Week 15 injury updates for Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos
The Detroit Lions have had nine different starting offensive line combinations in 13 games this season, as the ongoing run of "we just can't have nice things" in having one of the best offensive lines in the NFL together remains.
Center Frank Ragnow avoided a major knee injury in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints, but he did miss Week 14 against the Chicago Bears. Heading into a shorter week before playing the Denver Broncos Saturday night in Week 15, head coach Dan Campbell was at best non-committal about the Pro Bowl center's status.
"Yet to be determined. He is improving, he’s improving. But there again, I won’t know for a little bit here,”
After practice on Wednesday (via MLive) when he was a limited participant for the second straight day, Ragnow said he's feeling good but acknowledged something about his knee issue.
"Great. Feeling good. Unfortunate little mishap two weeks ago. But doing good,” Ragnow said from the locker room on Wednesday. “I don’t really want to get into specifics. But I just got rolled up on and had to get something done."
"Had to get something done" is code for some sort of surgery, however minor it may have been.
Frank Ragnow injury status for Week 15 vs. Denver Broncos
As mentioned, Ragnow was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Tuesday only an estimate as the Lions had a walkthrough.
Ragnow has officially been listed as questionable for Saturday night's game.

Who would replace Frank Ragnow in the lineup?
As has happened in the two games Ragnow has missed this season, Graham Glasgow would replace take over the Lions starting center against Denver (Glasgow's former team). The former Lions' draft pick, who came back in free agency last March, took over as the starting right guard and is Pro Football Focus' 12-ranked guard this season among those with enough snaps to qualify. Glasgow has started a game at all three interior offensive line spots this season.
When is Frank Ragnow coming back?
Ragnow has a chance to return to the lineup against the Broncos in Week 15. If not, Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings feels like a good bet for his return.
