Detroit Lions inactives list for Week 13 against New Orleans Saints
After playing three fairly stressful games in a 12-day span, the Detroit Lions have had some extra time to rest and reset before the final push to a playoff spot in December. The early season rash of notable injuries has mostly subsided since the bye week. Well, other than left guard Jonah Jackson missing the last two games with a wrist injury after he missed three earlier with an ankle issue.
Jackson is listed as questionable for Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, but it seems if there was still a probable designation he would have been listed as that. After last week's struggles to protect Jared Goff, Jackson's likely return is welcome.
One notable injury for the Lions this week is to linebacker Alex Anzalone, who suffered a hand injury against the Packers late in the game on Thanksgiving Day. He was originally listed as doubtful for Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, after missing practice all week. But he was (as expected) downgraded to out on Saturday after he did not travel with the team.
Otherwise, the Lions' injury reports continue to be pretty clean (and short). Anzalone and Jackson were the only players listed with an injury designation for Sunday's game.
Here are the inactive players for the Lions in Week 13.
Detroit Lions inactives list for Week 13 at Saints
Here are Sunday's inactives for the Lions.
- LB Alex Anzalone
- DT Isaiah Buggs
- LB Julian Okwara
- DT Levi Onwuzurike
- DT Brodric Martin
- CB Steven Gilmore
- WR Antoine Green
With Bruce Irvin making his Lions' debut and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna elevated from the practice squad as well (the maximum third time for Bohanna before he'd have to be signed to the active roster), Buggs, Okwara, Onwuzurike are healthy scratches again. Rookies Martin, Gilmore and Green get squeezed out by the Lions being so healthy.
Left guard Jonah Jacksons is active, so the Lions will have all five starting offensive lineman.
Here are Sunday's inactives for the Saints.
- WR Rashid Shaheed
- LB Pete Werner
- S Marcus Maye
- RB Kendre Miller
- CB Cameron Dantzler
- QB Jake Haener
- OL Nick Saldiveri
Wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion protocol) and defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) are active for the Saints. As are center Erik McCoy and kicker Blake Grupe.
