The Detroit Lions beat the Indianapolis Colts 24-6 in Week 12, but they also emerged from the game pretty beaten-up on the injury front. Four key players were known to suffer injuries during the game (Kalif Raymond, Taylor Decker, Carlton Davis, David Montgomery), with only Decker coming back into the game (though it seems Montgomery could have).

A fifth key player injured against the Colts (Amon-Ra St. Brown) was revealed on Monday's estimated practice report, on a short week before the Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears.

Injuries to a handful of key players coming out of a game is bad enough. A short week makes it a few notches worse, with playing statuses an automatic question.

Concern about the foot injury Raymond suffered was fully confirmed when he was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. On the final injury report of the week, Decker (knee) and Davis (knee) were ruled out for Thursday's game.

When Decker missed Week 10 against the Houston Texans, Dan Skipper took his place at left tackle. Right tackle Penei Sewell moving over to left tackle, as he has done previous times when Decker missed games, is also a possibility.

Replacing Davis could go multiple ways. Kindle Vildor started in Arnold's place last week, and he could start again on Thursday. Emmanuel Moseley made his season debut last week, and head coach Dan Campbell suggested he could take on a bigger defensive role this week. Shifting Amik Robertson to a perimeter cornerback spot is also an option.

On the positive side, Montgomery (shoulder) and St. Brown) were listed as questionable and both are expected to play against the Bears. Also on the good side of the injury docket, cornerback Terrion Arnold has no injury designation and is set to return after missing Week 12 with a groin issue.

Here are the Week 13 inactives for the Lions.

  • OT Taylor Decker
  • CB Carlton Davis
  • CB Emmanuel Moseley
  • OL Giovanni Manu
  • OL Kayode Awosika
  • OL Colby Sorsdal

Moseley is a surprising inactive, in light of Campbell's comments this week and with Davis' absence already thinning the Lions' cornerback depth.

Here are the Week 13 inactives for the Bears.

  • DB Elijah Hicks
  • OL Ryan Bates
  • WR Tyler Scott
  • DB Amir Speed
  • DL Dominique Robinson
  • OL Kiran Amegadjie
