The Detroit Lions dealt with a lot of injuries over their first few games this season, but coming off their bye in Week 5 and heading into a big game in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys they are about as healthy as they've been all season. And possibly as healthy as they'll be from here on out this season.
Center Frank Ragnow is line to miss just one game after suffering a partially torn pectoral in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. He spent his bye week rehabbing arduously, as expected.
Defensive back Brian Branch was a late downgrade for Week 4 due to a illness, which was not related to the concussion he suffered in Week 3. But he also has no designation for Sunday's game, and is good good to go.
Safety Kerby Joseph, who is second in the league with three interceptions, popped up on Thursday's practice report as a limited participant due to a hamstring issue. But he also had no designation for Sunday, and will play.
Rookie guard Christian Mahogany started practicing this past week, after a bout with mononucleosis sidelined him for all of training camp and he started the season on the NFL list. It's unclear right now if or when he'll be added to the 53-man roster. Sunday is Day 6 of the 21-day window for the Lions to do so or he'll have to be shut down for the season.
Mahogany is the lone Lions' player listed as out for Sunday's game. No one was listed as questionable or doubtful on Friday's injury report.
Detroit Lions inactives for Week 6 at Dallas Cowboys
Here are the Lions' Week 6 inactives.
- LB James Houston
- S Loren Strickland
- OL Giovanni Manu
- OL Colby Sorsdal
- WR Isaiah Williams
James Houston is a healthy scratch for the third time in five games. His time as a Lion may be winding down. Since Mahogany is not on the 53-man roster, so his being declared out on Friday's injury report does not transfer to having to be declared inactive.
And here are the Cowboys' Week 6 inactives. Defensive end Micah Parsons and linebacker Eric Kendricks were ruled out on Friday.
- DE Micah Parsons
- LB Eric Kendricks
- CB Caelen Carson
- RB Deuce Vaughn
- OT Matt Waletzko
- TE John Stephens
- QB Trey Lance (emergency No. 3 quarterback)
