The Detroit Lions returned to work off their bye week this week, but they didn't put out a practice report on Monday or Tuesday. They did put out a practice report on Wednesday, but it was only an estimate of participation levels since they did not actually practice.

So for all intents and purposes, Thursday's practice report was the first meaningful injury report of the week heading into Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys. So let's take a look.

Ragnow and Branch seem to be ready to go after missing Week 4. We know Ragnow didn't want to miss the Seahawks' game, as he resorted to a unique way to show Dan Campbell he was healthy.

Branch suffered a concussion in Week 3, but he had cleared protocol before being a late downgrade the day before the Seattle game due to an unrelated illness. The bye week also benefited him, and he looks to be good to go for Sunday.

Mahogany, the rookie guard out of Boston College, remains on the NFI list as he works his way back from an illness that sidelined him for all of training camp. He has had his 21-day activation window opened, with now 18 days remaining to either add him to the 53-man roster or shut him down for the season.

The notable addition here from Wednesday is Joseph, who listed as limited with a hamstring issue. He has previously been on the injury report with a back issue and a hamstring issue, but he has not missed a game. He was a noted absence from individual drills, if only because ever other Lions' player was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

On the Dallas side, their Thursday injury report was pretty full. Cornerback Trevon Diggs, linebacker Eric Kendricks, guard Zack Martin and defensive end Micah Parsons were among those who did not practice. Parsons is not expected to play on Sunday.

Thursday may have been a simple rest day for Joseph. The final injury report of the week on Friday, or any comments Campbell may make before Friday's practice, will be telling about his status for Sunday.
