The Detroit Lions earned a much-needed bounce-back win on Sunday, avenging last season's NFC Divisional playoff loss with a 44-22 road victory over the Washington Commanders.

Following last week's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, in which the offense struggled to click and make plays, Lions coach Dan Campbell took over the offensive play-calling. Campbell calling the plays paid off as the Lions had several impressive offensive performances in their dominating win over the Commanders.

Lions return to their offensive fire power that fans are accustomed to seeing

Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams had arguably his best performance of the season, collecting a season high six receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Commanders. It was Williams' second 100-yard receiving performance of the season, with the other coming in the Lions' 52-21 week 2 win over the Chicago Bears.

Amon-Ra St. Brown also added five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. St. Brown has now scored eight touchdowns this season, which is the second most by a wide receiver through week 10 this year.

The Lions returned to their bread-and-butter as an offense, finding success with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery in the running game. Gibbs rushed for a season high of 142 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Montgomery added 15 carries for 71 yards in the win. The Lions recorded a total of 226 rushing yards against the Commanders.

Will Dan Campbell continue calling the plays on offense?

After Sunday's win over the Commanders, Lions fans were left impressed by how much impact Campbell's calling the plays on offense had on their success in the game. It is no secret that Lions fans haven't been satisfied with the recent play-calling of offensive coordinator John Morton.

Before the game against the Commanders, the Lions had struggled to find consistency on offense in their last three matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Minnesota Vikings. The Lions went 1-2 during that stretch and averaged a little over 21 points per game in that span.

With a crucial game in week 11 on the road against the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Lions may want to stick with Campbell calling the shots on offense.
