Defense- 2/5 Stars

A week after holding one of the better offenses in the league to just a single touchdown, the Bears had their way with the Lions on Sunday.

Justin Fields’ stat line may look somewhat uninspiring, but he had a strong day passing the ball. It probably helped that the Bears’ run game was so strong. Led by David Montgomery, who ran for over 100 yards and two scores.

Additionally, the Lions only managed a single sack, courtesy of Charles Harris, against an offensive line that gave up nine just a week ago.

Best defensive player: Amani Oruwariye

This was the second straight week with an interception for the Lions’ top corner. He had some pretty good coverage reps too, the Bears often threw away from Oruwariye, and if you only notice a corner when they get an interception that tends to mean good things.

With how beat up Detroit’s secondary has been, it’s nice to see that there are some reasons for optimism.

Worst defensive player: Bobby Price

This was an ugly effort from Price, it’s not fair to him that he’s forced into a starting role but that’s the nature of the NFL.

Price was beaten repeatedly no matter who he lined up against, and it was clear the Bears highlighted him as a weak link in this Detroit defense.

On top of that Price left the game with an injury, just all around a very tough day for him.

Special Teams- 3/5 Stars

Jack Fox was great, Ryan Santoso didn’t attempt a field goal and the kick and punt coverage was adequate, but not outstanding.

The killer though was with the Bears lined up to punt on fourth and three with a minute left, the Lions jumped offsides and clinched the victory for Chicago.
