It is with a bit of good news that the Detroit Lions injury report this week only includes one player (DeAndre Levy) listed as out. Haloti Ngata does not appear on the injury report for this first time this season. Yes, the Lions are just 1-6, but maybe the fresh air brought in by Cooter will breathe life into a team that is clearly lacking.
Out
LB DeAndre Levy – (Hip) – At this point, Levy showing up on the injury report is simply a formality. He had successful hip surgery and the Lions aren’t ready to place him on season ending IR just yet. If the lose a couple more games, expect to see Levy on IR regardless of how well his rehabilitation is going
Questionable
T LaAdrian Waddle – (Knee) – Waddle has been dealing with a knee injury all year that apparently flared up against Minnesota. If he can’t go look for Cornelius Lucas to start in his place.
Probable

CB Rashean Mathis – (Illness) – Mathis came down with an undisclosed illness after clearing concussion protocol. Mathis will suit up and play on Sunday.
WR Calvin Johnson – (non-injury) – Although #81 was held out of practice on Wednesday, more than likely it was an extra day of rest for the veteran wide receiver. Johnson was a full participant in practice on Thursday. He will be ready to play Sunday.
RB Joique Bell – (Ankle) – Bell has had a lingering ankle injury throughout the year. He was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and without any setbacks it looks as if he will play.
CB Rashean Mathis – (Illness) – Mathis came down with an undisclosed illness after clearing concussion protocol. Mathis will suit up and play on Sunday.
P Sam Martin – (Left Knee) – Martin continues to show up on the injury report, but looks like it is bothering him less than previous weeks. He will play Sunday.
TE Brandon Pettigrew – (Elbow) – Pettigrew practiced all week after missing the past two games. Unless something drastic happens (it has before) he will play.
QB Matthew Stafford – (Quad) – Anyone who has watched the Lions this year could not possibly be surprised that he shows up on the injury report. Even though Stafford shows up on the injury report, he was a full participant in practice all week.He will be ready to go on Sunday.
LB Stephen Tulloch – (Illness) – Maybe Tulloch and Mathis at something bad. Either way Tulloch practiced all week and will play Sunday.
