Updated list of Detroit Lions future draft picks after Za'Darius Smith trade
Early on trade deadline day, the Detroit Lions got the ball rolling in deals around the league with the acquisition of defensive end Za'Darius Smith and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Cleveland Browns for a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick.

The Lions sent their 2025 third-round pick to the New York Jets when they traded up for offensive lineman Giovannu Manu in this year's draft.
The Lions of course parted with their 2025 fifth-rounder in the deal to get Smith.
The Lions sent their own 2025 sixth-round pick to the Browns for wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones at the 2023 trade deadline.
The 2025 fourth-round pick the Lions got from the Eagles in the D'Andre Swift trade was sent back to Philadelphia in the trade up to get running back Sione Vaki in this year's draft.
Via the Denzel Mims trade with the Jets in 2023, the pick the Lions gave up was contingent on Mims making their roster (he didn't) and the pick they were in line to also get was negated.

As part of the Smith trade, the Lions sent their 2026 sixth-round pick to the Browns and added a second seventh-rounder.
