Following his arrest for multiple kidnapping and robbery charges, the Detroit Lions have released Terrion Arnold from the roster.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news, hours after Arnold had been granted bond and a release from jail following his arrest.
Arnold, 23, has been connected to a kidnapping and armed robbery that took place in Florida on February 4. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Largo Police Department will be filing a pre-trial motion to keep Arnold in jail until the trial.
A release made the most sense as a next step for the Lions, as training camp begins on July 28 for veterans. Arnold could potentially land on the NFL's exempt list as a result of these charges, which would bar him from any team activities.
This is a developing story, and we will update this post with further information and statements as they come in.
