The Detroit Lions are playing in the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991. This time, it comes against the San Francisco 49ers, who are the No. 1 seed and hosting the game.

The Lions got to where they are now by winning the NFC North for the first time ever but it was their first division title since 1993. They then beat the Rams in the Wild Card round, took down the Buccaneers in the divisional round, and now are hoping to beat the Niners on the road to advance to their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
