The Detroit Lions and their fans are on the ride of a life time. After a season that saw them win their first playoff since 1991, they're now one win away from their first ever Super Bowl appearance.

Standing in their way is the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers, but it's hard to doubt the Lions after how they've played on this historic runs.

Let's dive into the Lions' latest odds to win Super Bowl 58

Lions odds to win Super Bowl 58

Ahead of the playoffs, the Lions' Super Bowl odds were set at +2200. They improved to +900 after beating the Rams in the Wild Card Round. Now, they improve just slightly to +750 ahead of the NFC Championship Game.

At +750, the Lions' have significantly longer odds than the other three teams. The next closest is the Chiefs at +380 odds.

If you translate +750 odds to implied probability, the Lions are being given an 11.76% chance of winning it all. If you were to bet $100 on the Lions to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy, you'd win a profit of $750 if they're able to achieve the feat.

Will the Lions win the Super Bowl?

It'd be stupid to completely dismiss the Lions at this point. All they need to do is win their next two games and they'll be crowned champions of the NFL. Anything can happen, so it's absolutely possible.

With that being said, they have a tough road ahead of them. They're set as touchdown underdogs to the No. 1 seed 49ers in the NFC Championship game and then would, in theory, bet set as underdogs in the Super Bowl no matter who they'd face. There is no possible "easy" matchup left for the Lions.

Lions fans can take comfort in their offense, who can hang with any team in the NFL and are just as good on that side of the ball as anyone else left in the playoffs. If there's one main concern, it's their defense, which has made big plays when they've needed to, but their overall metrics still rank near the bottom of the league.

Lions fans should enjoy the ride and embrace being underdogs the rest of the way.

Lions vs. 49ers odds

The Lions were originally set as 7-point underdogs to the 49ers, but money has come in on Detroit and the line has moved at most sportsbooks down to -6.5. The total for the game is set at 50.5.

Based on their +250 moneyline odds, the Lions have an implied probability of 28.57% of beating the 49ers and advancing to Super Bowl 58.
