For the first time since 1991, the Detroit Lions have won a playoff game, downing their former quarterback, Matthew Stafford, and the Los Angeles Rams by a final score of 24-23.

That wasn't the only good thing that happened to the Lions on Wild Card Weekend. The Dallas Cowboys were also upset by the Green Bay Packers, which means the Lions now get to host a second playoff game in the Divisional Round.

As a result, the Lions' odds to win Super Bowl 58 have skyrocketed. Let's take a look.

Lions odds to win Super Bowl 58

Last week, the Lions' odds to win Super Bowl 58 were set at +2200 at FanDuel Sportsbook. Now, after taking down the Rams, their odds have been cut in half, and are now sitting at +900 ahead of the Divisional Round. Only the 49ers, Ravens, Bills, and Chiefs have better odds, leaving the Lions with the second-best odds out of the NFC.

At +900 odds, the Lions now have an implied probability of 10% of winning the Super Bowl. If you were to bet $100 on them to pull it off, you'd win a nice $900 profit if they lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Will the Lions win the Super Bowl?

The Lions certainly got a ton of help from their divisional rival when the Packers upset the Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. Now, instead of traveling to Dallas in the Divisional Round, they'll welcome the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Detroit.

Of course, the boogie man of the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers, still stands in their way of a berth in the Super Bowl. With that being said, there's the possibility of the Packers pulling off another upset which would set up an NFC North duel with a Super Bowl berth on the line if the Lions can beat the Bucs.

If that does happen, the Lions would host the NFC Championship and go from hosting just one playoff, to hosting all three. As ugly as it is to admit, Lions fans will likely be cheering for the Packers in the Divisional Round.

While they still have their questions defensively, it's going to be tough for any team to keep pace with the Lions' offense. All it took was the Rams to stumble a couple of times in the red zone and that was enough for the Lions to win the game. There's no denying that could continue to happen the rest of the postseason.

Who will the Lions play next?

The Lions will host the Buccaneers in their Divisional Round game.

The Lions played the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers back in Week 6, beating them by a final score of 20-6. The rematch will take place on Sunday, January 21, at 3 pm et.

The 49ers will host the Packers on Saturday night in the other NFC Divisional Round game.

Buccaneers vs. Lions odds

The Lions are set as 6-point favorites to the Buccaneers with the total for the game set at 48.5.

Based on their -267 moneyline odds, the Lions have a 72.75% chance of beating the Buccaneers and advancing to the NFC Championship.
