Detroit Lions reveal jersey numbers for 2024 draft picks

Ahead of their three-day rookie minicamp, the Detroit Lions announced jersey numbers for the six incoming 2024 draft picks.

CB Terrion Arnold: 0
CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr.: 15
OT Giovanni Manu: 59
RB/S Sione Vaki: 33
DT Mekhi Wingo: 94
OG Christian Mahogany: 73

Mahogany had already confirmed on social media he will wear No. 73, which he also wore at Boston College. Arnold wore No. 3 at Alabama, but that's Lions' punter Jack Fox's number. So the Lions' first-round pick will take No. 0, which wide receiver Marvin Jones wore last year when the league opened that number up to be worn. "Zero" could also be an appropriate metaphor for the number of catches Arnold plans to allow.

All these numbers could change before the season starts, as the roster takes shape and numbers open up. So rushing to buy a jersey for one of the rookie draft picks is not necessarily advised.
