The Detroit Lions are playing in the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991 and the second time in franchise history. It just so happens that Detroit's last road playoff win was in San Francisco, in 1957,
On the injury front for the Lions on Sunday, it's not a long list but there are a couple notable players who will be out. Wide receiver Kalif Raymond suffered a knee injury in the regular season finale, and he will miss another playoff game. Left guard Jonah Jackson suffered a knee injury during the Divisional Round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and after surgery to repair a torn meniscus he will be out on Sunday as well.
Otherwise on the Lions' injury report for the NFC Championship Game, rookie quarterback Hendon Hooker was listed as questionable due to a tooth issue and cornerback Chase Lucas was also listed as questionable due to an illness.
Hooker has been the Lions' emergency third quarterback since being added to the active roster, and Lucas has played 43 special teams snaps over the two playoff games thus far.
One player to particularly note when the Lions inactives come out is James Houston. The second-year edge rusher was activated before the Divisional Round game, but he was listed as questionable and he was a healthy scratch. He has no injury designation this week, so he should suit up for his first game since suffering a broken ankle back in Week 2.
