It may feel like a while ago, but the Lions won the opening game of the NFL season, jumpstarting the team's pursuit of an NFC North title.

Now, the Lions look to cement its momentum with a home game against the Seahawks. In the rare spot of a big favorite, our betting expert Iain MacMillian is't concerned with the Lions offense giving the Seahawks defense fits and covering the near-touchdown spread.

Bet Lions to Cover Spread at Home

Our BetSided betting expert Iain MacMillian has been quick to fade the Seahawks hype this season, and will continue to do so in Week 2.

"I picked the Rams to upset the Seahawks last week and it wasn't just because I thought the Rams were better than people thought," MacMillian said.

"More than anything, I'm a lot lower on the Seahawks than the public opinion of them. The Seahawks had a lot of things go right for them last season that resulted in a postseason berth. Now, it's a new season and I expect regression from them."

This is not just a fade of the Seahawks, though, this is a bet on the Lions, who look to be legit in 2023.

"Meanwhile, I was impressed by the progress seemingly made by the Lions defense in the offseason. Sure, they played against a Travis Kelce-less Chiefs team on opening night, but they still got the job done and kept Patrick Mahomes in check," MacMillian said.

"I think the Lions will roll the Seahawks on Sunday."
