Before we dive into Week 4's Detroit Lions' prop bets, let's do the accounting for Week 3's props.
TE Sam LaPorta, Anytime Touchdown (+230, FanDuel, +185, DraftKings): 8 receptions, 84 yards, 1 TD
WR Josh Reynolds, Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-110, DraftKings)
Reynolds, Over 3.5 Receptions (+114, Draft Kings; +105, SI Sportsbook): 0 catches, 0 yards
Hopefully you bet the anytime touchdown for LaPorta, and hit some nice plus-money. Otherwise, Reynolds was a miss for Week 3, even though he was in uniform after popping up on last week's practice reports with a groin injury.
It's a short week for the Lions in Week 4, as they'll head to Lambeau Field to take on the division rival Green Bay Packers for Thursday Night Football. The potential return of some injured players (Taylor Decker, David Montgomery) would of course be helpful to the Lions getting a victory in their first division game of the season.
With the sportsbook noted, here are our top Lions prop bets for Week 4 against the Packers.
Best Detroit Lions prop bets: Week 4 vs. Green Bay Packers
TE Sam LaPorta, Over 4.5 Receptions (+116, FanDuel; +130, DraftKings)
Back to the LaPorta well here. He has at least five catches in each of the first three games of his career, with an NFL tight end record 18 receptions over the first three games of a career. Yet somehow, over 4.5 receptions is a solid plus-money this week. Low hanging fruit here.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 6.5 Receptions (+104, FanDuel)
St. Brown was clearly not limited by whatever his toe injury was (not turf toe, apparently) in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, with nine receptions (on 12 targets) for 102 yards. He has at least six catches and seven targets in all three games this season, and over 100 yards in the last two.
6.5 catches is a tricky over/under line to navigate betting for St. Brown's catches this week, which is the point of course (the over is -110 on DraftKings). But the over, at a little bit of plus-money on FanDuel no less, lands solidly for me here.
St. Brown, 80-plus Receiving Yards (+116, FanDuel)
Along the same lines (pun intended) of betting the over on 6.5 catches for St. Brown, 80-plus receiving yards stands as the solid second leg of a possible parlay. If you wanted to get a little more aggressive, 90-plus (+162, FanDuel) and 100-plus yards (+220, FanDuel: +215, DraftKings) are solid plus-money. But let's just go to 80-plus yards, and call it fine.
