Best Detroit Lions prop bets for NFL Week 3 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Taking a look at the best Detroit Lions prop bets for Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Before diving into Week 3's Detroit Lions prop bets, let's do the accounting for Week 2's prop bets.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Anytime Touchdown (+110, DraftKings, +120, FanDuel): Zero touchdowns
TE Sam LaPorta, 50-Plus Receiving Yards (+190, DraftKings): 63 yards
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 77.5 Receiving Yards (-115, DraftKings): 102 yards

Two out of three ain't bad. In Week 3 the Lions will welcome the 2-0 Atlanta Falcons to Ford Field. The Lions have a long list of injuries that will test their depth, but they actually have said depth to help navigate the injuries.

Without further ado, with the sportsbook noted, here are our three top Lions prop bets for Week 3 against the Falcons.

Best Detroit Lions prop bets for Week 3 vs. Atlanta Falcons

TE Sam LaPorta, Anytime Touchdown (+230, FanDuel, +185, DraftKings)

The only thing missing from LaPorta's solid start to his rookie season is his first career touchdown. With wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) and Josh Reynolds (groin) banged up, and running back David Montgomery (thigh) likely out (likely made official on Friday), there will be a void to fill in the red zone for the Lions' offense. LaPorta has built quick rapport with Jared Goff, which should lead to good things in the red zone at some point.

The Falcons allowed a touchdown to Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst in Week 1, before doing better against Packers' tight end Luke Musgrave in Week 2.

An anytime touchdown bet for LaPorta at this kind of plus-money is hard to turn down.

Josh Reynolds Props
Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-110, DraftKings)
Over 3.5 Receptions (+114, Draft Kings; +105, SI Sportsbook)

With the huge caveat that Reynolds is active on Sunday as he battles a groin issue, and with St. Brown sure to be limited by his toe issue if he does play, these props are low-hanging fruit.

Reynolds has posted four catches for 80 and five catches for 66 yards in Week 1 and Week 2 respectively, as his connection with Jared Goff remains strong. In Week 2, he had two touchdowns.

Again assuming Reynolds plays, some other props-50-Plus Receiving Yards (+120, DraftKings) and Anytime touchdown (+280, FanDuel; +185, DraftKings)-would be in play here too, to make up a four-leg parlay. But the overs on 3.5 catches and 42.5 yards are too easy.
