As usual, before digging into this week's Detroit Lions player props let's see how Week 16's prop bets did.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Over 7.5 receptions (+120, Draft Kings): 12 receptions
RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Over 3.5 Receptions (+104, FanDuel; +120, DraftKings): 4 receptions
Gibbs, Over 19.5 receiving yards (-114, FanDuel): 20 receiving yards

A close shave on the Jahmyr Gibbs' receiving props, but he hit them and the parlay on FanDuel sportsbook was plus-money for those who went with that.

In Week 17 the Lions will take on the 10-5 and also playoff bound Dallas Cowboys, with a chance to be the No. 1 seed in NFC entering the game. The point spread has moved toward the Lions as week has gone on, with the Cowboys opening at six point favorites in most places but Dallas is now a 4.5-point favorite on FanDuel sportsbook.

The Lions will be on the Saturday night stage for the second time in three weeks this week, and here are our top player props for them in Week 17 (via the sportsbook noted).

Best Detroit Lions player props for Week 17 at Dallas Cowboys

DE Aidan Hutchinson, Over .25 sacks (+110, DraftKings)

Hutchinson has just two sacks over the last 10 games, which some people like to singularly focus on. But the double-teams he sees. the occasional uncalled holds that happen to him and the pressure he generates reveal the whole picture.

As collected by Lions' PR, according to Pro Football Focus, Hutchinson is third in the league in pressures (87), second in quarterback hurries (63) and second in quarterback hits (18) this season.

In Week 17, Hutchinson gets a matchup against the turnstile that is Cowboys' right tackle Terence Steele. Steele has allowed the third-most pressures in the league.

Steele will certainly get plenty of help against Hutchinson on Saturday night, and it's worth noting Cowboys' left tackle Tyron Smith is questionable with a back injury. We only need him to get around Dak Prescott once, for half a sack, to cash this bet and at +110 on DraftKings I can't turn it down.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Anytime touchdown (+100, DraftKings, +105, FanDuel)

Gibb has become a trusted red zone and goal line guy for the Lions, with four rushing touchdowns (five total touchdowns) over the last three games. He has 10 total touchdowns on the season, and two of the last three have come in the fourth quarter.

It's possible to get cute with a last touchdown scorer bet on Gibbs (+800, FanDuel; +750, DraftKings), and have it pay off. But an anytime touchdown bet is just simpler.

WR Jameson Williams, 50-plus receiving yards (+245, DraftKings; +205 FanDuel)

Over the last two games, Williams has 13 targets and nine catches as he has been more than a sheer depth threat (47 and 43 yards in each game respectively). If there's game where his speed can be put back on full display, it might this one.

For as good as Dallas' defense has been on the whole this season (albeit with a recent downturn), they have allowed 42 explosive pass plays this season (20-plus yards). They have also been susceptible to play-action, which we know is Jared Goff's forte.

Williams has earned Goff's trust, as confirmed by the Lions' signal caller this week. The playing time and target volume he's been getting, and the prospect of a big play or two when the situation strikes, makes 50-plus receiving yards an enticing bet.
