As is custom, before getting into Week 6's best Detroit Lions bets, let's see how Week 5's bets did.

RB David Montgomery, 80-plus rushing yards (+115, DraftKings): 109 rushing yards
WR Josh Reynolds, 60-plus Receiving Yards (+170, DraftKings): 76 yards
DE Charles Harris, Over .25 sacks (+114, DraftKings): Zero sacks

Reached a little bit for the Harris sack bet, and it was the only one that didn't hit.

In Week 6 the Lions will take on a second straight NFC South opponent, and this time it's a road trip to take on the first place Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is a flimsy-looking 3-1 of we're being honest, but coming off their bye they will be a tougher test for the Lions than the Carolina Panthers were last week.

With the sportsbook you can find each of these bets noted, here are our best Detroit Lions bets for Week 6.

Detroit Lions' best bets for Week 6 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Note: Odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

Lions, 21-30 points (+155, DraftKings)

Going a different direction than usual here with a "points band" bet. The Lions have scored at least 21 points in four of five games this season, with 20 in the other. Tampa Bay has allowed more than 21 points just once in their four games, but it took takeaways (Vikings), playing the Bears and facing an injured quarterback (Derek Carr) to get it done in those games.

The Lions should have little trouble scoring 21 points on Sunday, but more than 30 is a stretch. So this is an easy bet to take at plus money.

RB David Montgomery, Over 20.5 Rush Attempts (+106, FanDuel)

Doubling down on one our prop bets here. Montgomery has at least 19 carries in all three games he has played in and finished this season (he was injured during Week 2). If Week 5 against the Panthers (19 carries) had been more competitive, he surely would have gotten more work late in the game. Sunday's game should be more competitive, setting him up to be involved throughout.

An over bet on 20.5 carries for the Lions' "bell cow back" at plus-money just can't be turned away from.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Under 74.5 Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)

I like St. Brown to score a touchdown in his return to action on Sunday (see prop bets article), and in a certain light some yardage bets on him are appealing. Playing the under for 69.5 yards over on DraftKings (-115) is a little light for me, but I like the 70-73 yard range for St. Brown on Sunday and that puts betting the under on 74.5 in my wheelhouse.
