The Detroit Lions are in Green Bay to take on the host Packers on Sunday. To fully convey the largeness of the game, besides it being in the late afternoon window, FOX's No. 1 broadcast team, including Tom Brady, will be on the call.
On the injury front for Detroit this week, the defensive front seven continues to take some hits.
Defensive end Josh Paschal will miss a second straight game after something was found during an annual cancer screening last week (not a recurrence of cancer he had in college).
Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez suffered an ankle in Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans. A report from last Monday said he'd miss this week, but he could return in Week 10.
Defensive tackle Brodric Martin is on IR after he suffered a knee injury in the preseason finale, and he just started his 21-day window to be put on the 53-man roster this past week. He was ruled out on Friday, but since he's not on the active roster he won't be listed as an inactive player for Sunday's game.
Rookie defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo surfaced on Thursday's practice report with an ankle injury, and he was listed as doubtful. Rookie running back Sione Vaki fluctuated with his practice participation this week due to a knee injury, and was also listed as doubtful on Friday.
Doubtful statuses sometimes invite late downgrades to out, and sure enough Wingo and Vaki were both downgraded on Saturday afternoon with the announcement they were not traveling with the team to Green Bay.
Here are the Week 9 inactives for the Lions. No surprises.
