Dan Campbell maintained his usual energy in locker room after win over Jaguars

It might have been easy to tone things down a little in the postgame locker room after another blowout win, but that would not be genuine Dan Campbell.

As the Detroit Lions stack wins, eight in a row now, their postgame locker room celebrations have become must-see. Head coach Dan Campbell of course drives the vibe and culture of the team, and those glimpses into the postgame locker room are a reflection of that.

After Sundays' 52-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, in which the Lions simply took care of business, might have been a moment for the energy in the postgame locker room to be down a notch or two. Sure it's good to win and dominate an overmatched, feeble, inept opponent, but it was expected far and wide that the Lions would have an easy time with the Jaguars and it happened.

But a lack of energy in the postgame locker room would have been against Campbell's grain, and it was not going to happen in light of all the good things that happened in the game.

Dan Campbell maintains typical energy in Lions' postgame locker room after blowout win

We know this Lions' team will not take their foot off the gas easily, and Campbell is the driver of that too. He showed it in the postgame locker room on Sunday.

"Hey, that's a hell of a job, men. That's a hell of a job", Campbell said. "I'm gonna go back to what I said last night. When you have talent, talented football players, and they are made of the right kinda stuff, and those guys come together, you have a collective willpower that you can make the game any way you want it to go."

"You can do that. And that's exactly what you guys did", Campbell said. "You came out, after a rough game last week, we found a way to win. And we weren't having it today, men. You guys willed that game the way you wanted it. And we have that ability. Remember that."

Campbell acknowledged the Lions can "make the game go any way" they want it to go. For some reason there's a segment of people who think they should be sorry for blowing opponents out when they're begging to be blown out, with that energy seemingly reserved for the Lions.

Campbell said the entire offense is getting a game ball after setting team records for total yards and first downs on Sunday, as he noted the performances from Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Kerby Joseph and Jack Campbell got game balls as the Lions' defense allowed just 170 yards in the game.
