While Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to shatter reception records, both in the NFL and for the Detroit Lions franchise, the star receiver continues to acknowledge that the game will keep growing with or without him on the field.
St. Brown spoke about breaking the all-time NFL record for most catches through five seasons in the league against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14, telling his brother on their "St. Brown Podcast" that the record is likely not his to hold for much longer.
"I don't know how much longer my record is going to hold or stand, probably another year or two because Puka (Nacua) is on the way. I don't know how many catches he has, but that man is balling. He'll probably break my record in the next year or two, but hey, I'll have a record for at least a year or two, so that's nice."

St. Brown knows Nacua is on his tail with NFL reception record
St. Brown's record-breaking 511th reception comes thanks to the chemistry that he has built up with Jared Goff, and you could say the same about the glory that Nacua has experienced in his time catching passes from Matthew Stafford in Los Angeles. Both receivers are key cogs to their respective teams' offenses, and it wouldn't be shocking to see Nacua hit that magic number soon.
Through three seasons with the Rams, Nacua has 277 receptions in addition to 15 touchdowns and 3,662 receiving yards. St. Brown had 315 receptions over his first three years in the league, showing that despite Nacua's ridiculous output on offense, St. Brown technically had an even more impressive start to his career.

Both late round picks by the Lions and Rams - Nacua was taken in the 5th round, and St. Brown in the 4th round - the two receivers have enjoyed silencing critics who might've been surprised at their selections.
Health plays a factor in Nacua having not gotten even closer to St. Brown's record this early in his career, with Nacua having only played in 11 games last season and St. Brown hardly ever missing a game through his first three seasons with the Lions.
Both are set to be huge factors in Week 15, with Detroit's offense relying on St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jahmyr GIbbs to be the three-headed monster that carries Goff and the team to a win.
