Dan Campbell foreshadowed it, and he surely had some direct insight, and it appears to be happening very quickly. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is gone to become the head coach of the Chicago Bears, and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn isn't likely to be too far behind.
Glenn is set to do an in-person interview with the New York Jets on Tuesday, and it felt like them being first in line for a second interview mattered a lot. On Tuesday morning, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed that with a tweet.
"A monumental day: Top target Aaron Glenn visits the #Jets & the goal is to keep him from leaving the building, sources say."
"The deal isn’t done & there are still some particulars to discuss. But if all goes well, he could end today as HC of the NYJ. If not, the #Saints await."
The Jets may be the head coaching job Glenn prefers above any others he's in the mix for. So he indeed may not leave their building on Tuesday without a deal to be their next head coach.
It seems like it'll be hard for the Jets to botch getting Aaron Glenn
The Jets have had a wide-ranging head coaching search, but Glenn has always been a top candidate for the job. Hiring him may have just been a matter of when they could talk to him in-person. The Lions' Divisional Round loss to the Commanders opened that door, and they jumped through it quickly.
The Saints were originally scheduled to interview Glenn in-person on Wednesday, which may have left them out in the cold anyway if the Jets could close the deal. But NFL Network's Tom Pelissero has reported they will reschedule their round of in-person interviews this week due to severe weather.
Due to severe weather, the #Saints are rescheduling this week's round of in-person interviews for their head coaching job. Mike Kafka was supposed to be today, with Aaron Glenn and Anthony Weaver scheduled for Wednesday; interviews are now expected to resume later in the week.

So the Saints may not interview Glenn until....Thursday? Let's assume at least a one-day delay from the original schedule. Of course that assumes the Jets are unable to close the deal on Tuesday.
It has been put on a tee for the Jets to hire Glenn, if they want him and he wants them, before the Saints or anyone else will even interview him in-person. They can't possibly botch it, can they?
