6 free agent defensive tackles the Detroit Lions should have on their radar
Defensive tackle is clearly on the Detroit Lions radar, and here are a half-dozen remaining free agent options they could have on their radar.
The Detroit Lions aggressively addressed their biggest offseason need in free agency, signing cornerbacks Cameron Sutton and Emmanuel Moseley and rounding it out by signing versatile defensive back C.J Gardner-Johnson.
The Lions are in a good position to take the best player available regardless of position in next month’s draft, with little regard to great need. But defensive tackle/interior defensive line stands now as their top need, fostering they idea they may be the team to take Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter should he fall to them. It would be a surprise if one of their early picks is not a defensive tackle, if not one of their two first-round picks (No. 6 and No. 18) for that matter.
But in a bigger picture sense, the Lions could still consider adding a veteran defensive tackle. They were interested in Calais Campbell, but he signed with the Atlanta Falcons before a meeting was reportedly going to happen. So adding someone is clearly on the radar before the draft and the Lions have not left needs unfilled for very long so far in free agency.
The market is obviously thinning, but here are some free agent defensive tackles the Lions could have on their radar.
