The Detroit Lions come off their bye to face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7, and here are the early odds and a prediction for the game.
The Detroit Lions had their bye early in Week 6, but it also came at a good time. From player health to the coaching staff needing a chance to reset, now it’s back to business with a road trip to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7.
The 4-2 Cowboys are set to get Dak Prescott back under center on Sunday, so that’s a buzzkill for the Lions’ struggling defense. Even if Cooper Rush was going to be playing quarterback for Dallas, Detroit would still be underdogs this week. Prescott’s healthy return is worth a point or two on the point spread toward Dallas for sure, and may a few points on the over/under total.
The Lions-Cowboys will get CBS’ No. 1 announce crew of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson on Sunday, so it’s a marquee game in that respect. And it’s a big stage for the Lions to try and pull an upset.
Here are the early odds and a prediction for Lions-Cowboys in Week 7.

The Lions may very well be able to give the Cowboys a challenge early in the game on Sunday, as Prescott knocks off rust coming off the thumb injury on his throwing hand that cost him the last five games. The question will be if they can sustain any momentum they can grab onto and sustain early energy to keep the came competitive in the second half.
Prediction: Cowboys 30, Lions 20.
So based on the numbers posted on FanDuel as of Tuesday afternoon, the Cowboys not only beat the Lions but they cover fairly comfortably and the over on the points hits.
