Jared Goff fantasy football history: 2019 and 2020

While 2019 was a step back for Goff’s statistics, he was still able to check off boxes in terms of how he spread the ball around to the Rams’ fantasy assets. He led the NFL in pass attempts with 626, so there was plenty to go around.

Kupp finished 2019 as the WR4 (0.5-point PPR). Woods finished as the WR17, Higbee finished as the TE8, and Gurley, while he took a step back, still finished as the RB14. The red flag from this season was Goff’s yards per attempt dropping from 8.4 down to 7.4. But he finished a respectable, if volume-driven, QB13 in fantasy.

In 2020, no Rams wideout hit 1,000 receiving yards. But Kupp and Woods did both top 900 yards with at least 90 catches, and finished as WR27 and WR13 respectively (0.5-point PPR). Higbee finished as TE18, with Everett splitting production at the position again and landing at TE24.

Goff finished as QB18 in fantasy in 2020 (via Fantasy Pros). It was then absolutely clear the Rams needed a better quarterback if they wanted to reach their ceiling, as McVay was all out of magic with structure and play-calling to elevate Goff’s play.
