Jared Goff fantasy football history: 2018

In 2018, Gurley finished as the overall RB1 again, at the same time Goff elevated his play to help his other weapons climb the fantasy rankings. Woods finished as the WR10, and Brandin Cooks finished as the WR13. Kupp battled injuries during that season, but he was 13th among receivers in fantasy points per game (14.4 per game; 0.5-point PPR) due to the success he had in the eight games he did play.

Goff threw to his tight ends more in 2018, as Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee racked up a combined 57 catches for 612 yards and five touchdowns. If those two weren’t splitting time it’s very possible the 2018 Rams would have provided a top-tier fantasy tight end to go with Gurley, Woods and Cooks. In a current Lions’ related note, Josh Reynolds had 29 receptions for 402 yards and five touchdowns as a second-year Ram in 2018.

The 2018 season was the peak of Goff’s career, at least so far and it may stand as that. He finished as the QB7 in fantasy, and set career highs in passing yards (4,688), touchdowns (32) and yards per attempt (8.4). He has not nearly replicated that success since.
