4. WR DJ Chark

Perhaps the most forgotten name on the Lions’ offense, Chark is in a great spot to see a healthy combination of snaps and targets.

Coming over from Jacksonville in free agency, Chark is poised to be the starting X-receiver for Detroit. A true deep threat with a great combination of speed and size on the outside, something the Lions sorely lacked a year ago.

Chark was seen running the entire route tree during offseason work, so as not to be pigeonholed as strictly a deep threat.  If he is utilized all over the field t, his value immediately shoots up. More creative utilization would open him up to more targets. Furthermore, his speed makes him very good at picking up extra yards after the catch.

Chark should be good to go after missing most of last season with a fractured ankle. So any concerns about his health don’t carry much weight beyond his never having played a full slate of games in his career.

Assuming he can stay on the field, Chark is an interesting fantasy prospect. He’s currently ranked as WR56 in standard scoring at Fantasy Pros.

Chark could provide good value early in the season, before Williams comes back to eat into his target share. An ideal scenario would be Chark starts off hot, then managers can flip him for value once Williams is cleared medically.
