Detroit Lions Injury Report: Week 17 vs. Seahawks
Heading into Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, here’s the final Week 17 injury report for the Detroit Lions.
The Detroit Lions will hit the road again in Week 17, this time headed west to take on the 5-10 Seattle Seahawks. In a kind of fun but not that important thing, it’s the third straight game the Lions will have against a team with a bird nickname.
Here’s a look at Friday’s final Week 17 injury report for the Lions, with game day designations.

RB D’Andre Swift (shoulder)-No designation
LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin (shoulder)-No designation
OLB Julian Okwara (ankle)-No designation
CB Saivion Smith (illness)-No designation
All things considered, a pretty clean injury report for the Lions for the second-to-last game of the season.
The headlines are Swift making his return after missing the last four games, and Goff listed as doubtful as he battles a knee injury suffered back in Week 15. Goff also missed Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons after landing on COVID-19 list, so Tim Boyle is in line to make his second straight start under center for the Lions on Sunday.
Cabinda was injured last week, and the Lions’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee is out for Sunday’s game.
The Lions haven’t been hit quite as hard by COVID lately. Wide receiver Josh Reynolds may be cleared of the COVID list Saturday and play Sunday, while wide receiver Kalif Raymond just landed on the list Thursday and is all but surely out Sunday. Defensive end Michael Brockers and guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai were the team’s other COVID cases this week.
The Lions will for sure be without a member of their coaching staff though, as defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant is in virus protocols and he will not be available. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and defensive assistant Brian Duker will take over Pleasant’s game day responsibilities.

The Lions will find a vulnerable and reeling team in Seattle on Sunday. A nice road win, even without their starting quarterback, can’t be ruled out.
