Detroit Lions injury report: Week 12 vs. Chicago Bears
Ahead of the Thanksgiving Day clash against the Chicago Bears, here’s the final injury report for the Detroit Lions.
The Detroit Lions seem to be getting closer and closer to a win, and Thursday they’ll face the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day for the third time in the last four years.
Here’s a look at the final injury report of the week for the Lions.
Detroit Lions Week 12 injury report
OLB Trey Flowers (knee)-Out
OG Halapoulivaati Vaitai (concussion)-Out
WR Trinity Benson (knee)-Out
CB AJ Parker (ankle)-Out
OT Matt Nelson (ankle)-Out
QB Jared Goff (oblique)-Questionable
DL Michael Brockers (knee)-Questionable
RB Jermar Jefferson (knee/ankle)-Questionable
On a short week, Flowers, Nelson and Benson will each miss a second straight game.
Vaitai suffered a concussion in Week 11, and undrafted rookie Tommie Kraemer is in line to start in his place at right guard on Thursday.
Parker had his first career interception last week against the Browns, but he later suffered an ankle injury and he’ll be out against Chicago.
The big headline is Goff, who has been listed as limited in practice all three days this week and it’s looking like he’ll start against the Bears. Goff called himself a game-time decision on Tuesday, and it looks like that’ll be the case. If he is unable to go, Tim Boyle would make his second straight start.
Brockers came up on the injury report again this week, but he may have just gotten some veteran rest days on a short week. Jefferson is questionable after missing last week’s game, which seems like a good sign he’s got a chance to play on Thursday.
On the Bears side quarterback Justin Fields (ribs) is out, as expected. Andy Dalton will start in his place, and Nick Foles will come out of mothballs to be the No. 2 quarterback. Also out for Chicago is defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (ankle) and running back Damien Williams (calf). Wide receiver Allen Robinson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful, and safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney popped up this week with a foot injury, but he has no injury designation.
