Left Tackle

This was actually closer than I expected between Taylor Decker and Riley Reiff when looking back. When Reiff replaced Jeff Backus in 2012, it was actually an upgrade and Reiff played well for five seasons until Decker took over at left pushing Reiff over to right tackle. Reiff’s run-blocking got the best of him in his last season in Detroit on the right side and the rest is history.

Decker had somewhat of a bounce-back season this year, playing his best football since he was a rookie in 2016, those two seasons were probably the best two seasons a left tackle has had in the 2010s for the Lions, putting Decker over the edge for me.

Left Guard

There was really only one option here for me.

My all-decade left guard is a forgotten man in Lions’ recent offensive line play standouts. But Rob Sims played really consistent good football in the left guard spot for the first half of this decade.

Laken Tomlinson was a bust and Graham Glasgow had a bad 2016, but decent 2017 at left guard.

Rob Sims with a runaway … who would have thought?
