Patrick Peterson, CB

The love affair between Patrick Peterson and the Lions has gone on long enough. It’s time to get a room. If Detroit isn’t willing to pay the massive toll it would take to acquire someone like Jalen Ramsey, getting Peterson would be a great consolation prize.

At 1-3-1, the Arizona Cardinals appear to be preparing for another down year as their rebuild continues. And new head coach Kliff Kingsbury will continue to stock his roster with young talent and that will take more draft picks. Although the Cardinals have been adamant as of late that they are not trading Peterson, that tune could change in the coming weeks.

Peterson is currently serving a six-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. He’s only 29-years old and is still considered one of the top defenders in the league. Pairing someone like Peterson with the current secondary in Detroit would be a stabilizing force especially considering Darius Slay’s recent hamstring injury and salary concerns.
