*There has been a trade: The Detroit Lions trade the #8 and #184 overall picks to the Washington Redskins for the #15 and #46 overall picks*

With the eighth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select…

Scouting Report. Ohio State. 8. player. 58. Pick Analysis. Quarterback. Dwayne Haskins

The Redskins see quarterbacks flying off the ball and know they need to move up if they want to grab the top quarterback on their draft board. So they send off their first and second round picks for a top ten selection to grab their new leader.

Haskins had an outstanding season at Ohio State, throwing for over 50 touchdowns. Haskins has a good arm and strong accuracy and fits what the Redskins do on offense. Haskins would likely start right away, as he would need to only beat out Case Keenum and Colt McCoy for the job.
