Rodger Saffold

Age: 30
Height/Weight: 6-5, 323
2018 Salary: $5.375 million
2019 Status: Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA)

Saffold has been a rock solid player for the Rams for nearly a decade, and is fresh off a Super Bowl run.  He helped Rams running back Todd Gurley average over 1,110 yards on the ground over the last four seasons. Pro Football Focus lists him as their ninth highest graded guard for 2018 with an overall mark of 72.8.

However, Saffold won’t come cheap. At age 31, he will likely be looking for one more big payday NFL, and the Rams could be interested in bringing him back. Quinn has has paid big money for an interior lineman before, would he do it again?

Brian Schwenke

Age: 27
Height/Weight: 6-3, 318
2018 Salary: $790,000
2019 Status: Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA)

According to Pro Football Reference, Schwenke played just 25 total snaps for the Patriots this past season. But he’s got starting experience (30 career starts in six seasons). He would likely be a cost effective option should the Lions see something they like in him, and at just 27 years old he’s probably young enough to adapt to another scheme change under Lions’ offensive line coach Jeff Davidson.
