Ronald Jones II

After the first two prospects, there is a lot of speculation as to who will be the third player to come off of the board at running back.

For the sake of argument, we’re just going to list Jones as the third option.

At 6-0, 200 pounds, Jones has the moves that NFL teams covet. He has great hip flexibility, burst, and likely the fastest runner this year. Jones is a home run threat. RJII’s expected forty time is 4.39, which is world-class speed.

For him, Jones will want to show power, and that he can play at more than 200 pounds. That’s thin for an NFL runner and the big question marks surround his durability at the next level.

Jones runs fairly upright and doesn’t always protect himself from big hits as he should.

It is often said that the best ability is availability. Jones has to look the part of a starter, not just be fast, which he’s proven.
