Both the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a two-game losing streaks. One team will break that streak on Sunday.
The 6-6 Detroit Lions picked a lousy time to go on a losing streak. Fortunately for them, their next opponents are having worse luck. The Lions are heading to the Sunshine State this weekend to face the struggling 4-8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Both the Lions and the Bucs are coming into this matchup having lost their last two games. Detroit is coming off a 44-20 slaughter by the Baltimore Ravens in Maryland. The week prior, the Lions lost a heartbreaker to their divisional rivals, the 10-2 Minnesota Vikings. That 30-23 loss all but eliminated the Motor City’s chances of winning the NFC North.

As for the Buccaneers, they are trying to bounce back from a 26-20 loss to the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Prior to that matchup, Tampa Bay was humiliated in 34-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Detroit comes into this Week 14 matchup with very slim hopes of making the postseason. They’ll likely need to win out to even have a chance at a Wild Card spot. That makes this matchup a must win for the Lions.
