The Dust has settled on the 2017 Free Agency period and owners are beginning to determine the impact of the moves on their Fantasy Football roster. I combed through the transactions and found a few that will have an impact on production in 2017.

Here are a list of Fantasy Football Free Agency Winners and Losers so far.

Winner: Robert Woods and the Los Angeles Rams

The Rams were looking for another target over for Quarterback Jared Goff and they found one in Robert Woods. The former Bills wide receiver will should take some of the pressure off of Tavon Austin and keep the safeties out of the box. However the biggest winner on this transaction is Todd Gurley who had trouble getting to the second level last season. Woods is considered one of the best run blocking wide-outs in the league and should help Gurley with some blocking downfield. Don’t get me wrong, Woods is not the second coming of Jerry Rice but for a Rams offense desparate for offensive help, he is the next best thing.

Loser – Mike Glennon and the Chicago Bears

After years of inconsistent play from Jay Cutler, the Chicago Bears finally have their man…kind of. The Bears ended their co-dependent relationship with Cutler and signed also-ran signal caller Mike Glennon. After also losing Alshon Jeffery and Matt Barkley to free agency, The Bears are in full rebuild mode and will be looking for skilled position players in the 2017 draft. I would stay as far away from the Bears as possible.

Winner -Alshon Jeffery and the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles landed Alshon Jeffery in free agency hoping he can help young ball-slinger Carson Wentz stretch the defense. The sure handed Jeffery also has a knack for the big play; averaging a career high 15.8 yards per reception in 2017. Sure he had a career low in touchdowns but those numbers should improve with a better supporting cast in the city of brotherly love. Jeffery should have a very productive year for the Eagles.

Winner – Danny Woodhead and the Baltimore Ravens

Probably the most underrated signing of the draft, Danny Woodhead should have an immediate impact for the Baltimore Ravens. Woodhead is perfect for the Ravens offensive scheme and should help Joe Flacco create play-action opportunities downfield. He should also be a legitimate red-zone threat.

Winner – Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions Receivers

He wasn’t even a free agent but Matt Stafford may be one of the biggest Fantasy Football winners this off-season. The Detroit Lions dramatically improved the right side of their line with two of the top pass-blocking offensive lineman in the league. Welcome news as Matt Stafford enters the final year of his contract. Consequently, Stafford and the Detroit Lions Receivers should see a marked up-tick in 2017 production.

Loser – Green Bay Packers

For some mysterious reason there has been a mass exodus from Green Bay this off-season on both side of the ball. Guard TJ Lang, Running Back Eddie Lacy, Tight End Jared Cook, Defensive End Julius Peppers and Cornerback Micah Hyde will all be wearing a new uniform next season. They even lost the long snapper to free agency. Although they did manage to sign a pair of tight-ends in Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks, there is no way the Packers will be able to replace that much talent in one off-season.
Logic would tell you that the Packers offensive production will take a step back in 2017. Then again we are talking about an offensive lead by future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rogers.
