Ford Field Administration & the Detroit Lions are encouraging fans to experience a once in a lifetime event by attending Taste of the Lions.
Wednesday, May 18th 2016, starting at 6:00 p.m., fans will get a chance to mingle with Lions players and administration all while being served the finest foods and wines from local restaurants. Tickets can be purchased at DetroitLions.com and your Ford Field box office. This isn’t something you want to miss!
With a growing Detroit economy thanks to the commerce manifested by businessman like Dan Gilbert (Quicken Loans owner), the Eastern Market district, and Detroit Ice Water Factory owner Mitch Albom, the Lions organizations ability to keep fans enthralled and engaged can only mean good for the surrounding community in Detroit. I spoke with corporate partnerships director Mike Singer about a month ago regarding the departure of former director Wade Martin. Saddened, we briefly discussed and delighted in the fact that the Taste of Lions event was going to be a blast. Lions fans out there, be assured and trust that this organization is doing the upmost to turn things around from the ground up in order to make the Detroit Lions the most like-able franchise it’s ever been in history.

While this event isn’t the most affordable for the general public, it’s still a highly acclaimed event that shouldn’t go unnoticed by the local community. For those who can afford the bill, it’ll be a night of thrill and just another stepping stone into what many Detroit natives believe to be a Lions organizational metamorphosis. “Event proceeds benefit Detroit Lions community partner Eastern Market and their community outreach programming. As the regional food hub for metropolitan Detroit, Eastern Market supports the city’s economic and social health. Eastern Market’s collaboration with the Detroit Lions leverages the bounty of regional agriculture to build a healthier Detroit by improving access to fresh food options in underserved areas” (Tim Twentyman via Detroitlions.com)
