Next: Who Are These Detroit Lions?
Yes, at 4-7 the Detroit Lions are still “in the hunt” for the playoffs. While the chances of them making the playoffs are supermodel thin, there is still a chance. What a travesty it would be to tank with a team that is now riding a nice three game winning streak.

One does not have to venture very far to see recent wild-card teams who have won and/or appeared in the Super Bowl. The 2007 New York Giants defeated the seemingly unbeatable, and up to the point undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The 2010 Green Bay Packers also entered the playoffs as a wild-card and their season culminated with a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.
