Stock Report: Quick Hits
Stock Up:
Caraun Reid: He finished the first game I’ve graded him positively, and it’s worth a mention.
Calvin Johnson: Another day, another Megatron catch that didn’t make any sense.
Devin Taylor: I had almost forgotten he was on this team. Was in the backfield a LOT.
Haloti Ngata: Made enough plays to justify trading for him in the first place, or at least it’s a start.
Ron Prince: The assistant head coach probably wanted the OC job, but he got a job that fits him better as the team’s OL coach.
Stock Down:
Golden Tate: Tate looked lost and out of place. He wasn’t alone, but he never stepped up.
Michael Burton: Burton has been great, but he failed on a goal line carry and almost didn’t make it on the field for one play. Rookie mistakes.
Travis Swanson: Swanson was tipping his blocks and had no answer for anything, be it blocking assignments, line calls, anything.
Lance Moore: Despite playing a third WR more than any team in the league, Lions have only managed to field one guy who wasn’t terrible, and he only lasted two games.
Theo Riddick: The once reliable receiving back didn’t have a terrible game until he dropped a crucial 4th down pass in the end zone. That’s kinda big.
Jason Jones: It wasn’t just me, the defense looked better when he was off the field, except for the few times he rushed inside. Simply isn’t a defensive end.
