Stock Report:  Quick Hits

Once again, we hit up all of the guys I didn’t have the space or time to really delve into.  Running with the one liners, here’s the group that stood out one way or the other in week one.

Stock Up
Darius Slay: As bad as Mathis was, Slay was good.  Very good.
Glover Quin: Likewise, as bad as Ihedigbo was, Quin was very good for most of the game.
Zach Zenner: He didn’t do much with his two carries, but he had 2 carries over Riddick.
Theo Riddick: The designated 2 minute RB did 2 minute stuff and ended with a TD.
Manny Ramirez: Credit where it’s due, Ramirez was the team’s best OL this week.
Don Carey: Like Ramirez, Carey isn’t known for being good. Still, a big part of the ST unit’s play.
Philip Hunt: First game as a Lion, gets a sack.  Way to show you’re in the rotation, guy.

Stock Down
Laken Tomlinson: The rookie struggled, badly. May see bench longer than I thought.
Travis Swanson: Protection calls are on the QB and the C.  Added a bad snap, too.
Matthew Stafford: Had some moments, but couldn’t see a blitz to save his life. Got hurt too.
Joique Bell: Bell wasn’t good, but his blocking sucked.  More here because Abdullah was great.
Corey Fuller: The defacto #3 lost a lot of snaps to Lance Moore, who wasn’t good. No targets.
Lance Moore: Moore had a great catch, but only 1 other target despite 30 snaps. Horrible blocker.
Golden Tate: Didn’t play poorly, but there were communication issues that need to be fixed.
Tahir Whitehead: I don’t know why, but he’s fallen out of favor despite other LBs playing badly.
Josh Bynes: Got the start, played okay, but let us all know how much we miss Levy.
Travis Lewis: Got the start over Whitehead, but had fewer snaps.  Pretty apparent as to why.
Brandon Pettigrew: Injury didn’t look good, but neither did his play prior to it. 0 targets.
Tim Wright: Brought in to be an extra receiving threat, didn’t even dress week one.
TJ Jones: Shortest starting gig ever. Healthy scratch, both returner teams looked great without him.

What do you think?  Did I miss anybody in the stock report?  Were there any players you felt I looked at unfairly who deserve a second look?  Let us know in the comments below or find me on Twitter @MathBomb
