3. Defensive Tackle – Tyrunn Walker vs. Caraun Reid

Both of these young men enter 2015 with not-so-similar situations, but with a lot to prove. For Walker, he enters 2015 with a total of 28 tackles and four sacks. For Reid, the totals are even less.

Essentially, they’re both very, very unproven.

When the Lions signed Walker earlier in the offseason, it seemed almost a given that he would start in some capacity next season. Now however, it appears as though it’s a role he’s going to have to fight for.

The reason being, is that Caraun Reid wants to claim the same real estate. Reid showed up to OTA’s in phenomenal shape, and reportedly backed up his look on the field. It would later come out that Reid had spent a portion of his offseason working out with a familiar face to Lions fans — Ndamukong Suh.

Although Suh is now a Miami Dolphin, it apparently hasn’t effected his relationship with Reid. With Suh instilling great workout routines and football skills in Reid, the sky is the limit for the Princeton graduate.

At a minimum, we’re in for a great camp battle between Walker and Reid, who are both hungry to make a name for themselves.
