4. Nickel Cornerback: Quandre Diggs (R) vs. Josh Wilson vs. Nevin Lawson

Rightfully this triple threat battle could have been as high as No. 1 on our list were it not for the fact that Quandre Diggs has already emerged the early favorite. The youngster from the University of Texas was drafted in the fifth round by the Detroit Lions and is the younger brother of former NFL defensive back, Quinten Jammer.

It’s been documented that Diggs lacks a majority of the desired attributes for a corner in todays NFL, however what he lacks in size and speed he makes up for with heart and determination.

At OTA’s, Diggs practiced with the first-team defense, but don’t expect Josh Wilson or Nevin Lawson to give up just yet. Wilson was brought in for a reason, and Lawson never got a legitimate shot to prove himself before falling victim to injury last season.

Expect these three to go toe-to-toe from day one once the whistle sounds at camp.
