Detroit Lions training camp is set to kick off on August 2, 2015 in Allen Park, Michigan and excitement is starting to build around the Motor City.

Training camp seemingly marks the “official” beginning to the upcoming football season, and already there are plenty of questions waiting to be answered. Position battles, rookies galore and undecided first team spots are all among them.

With anticipation in the air, and the buzz in Detroit growing, we’ll take a look at which players enter Detroit Lions training camp with the most to prove in 2015.

Let’s begin, shall we?

7. Kellen Moore

Former Boise State Bronco, Kellen Moore enters Detroit Lions training camp seemingly the same way as he has the previous couple of seasons — attempting to overtake the No. 2 position at quarterback.

This may seem like a broken record stuck on repeat, but this season could be his best chance yet.

After putting up better numbers statistically than the guy he was attempting to over take last season, Dan Orlovsky, head coach Jim Caldwell decided against handing the job over to Moore. Instead, Moore was negated back to his role of an arm in practice and film analyzer throughout the week.

On Sunday afternoon, college football’s winningest quarterback could be found in street clothes holding a clip board.

With both Orlovsky and Moore re-signed for the upcoming season, there is a chance that things stay exactly the same as they were a year ago. There is also a chance however that Moore finally wins the job that was seemingly his just over one year ago.

In order for this to happen however, he must keep his mistakes to a minimum and signs of continued growth are required now through the preseason.
