#3         Greg Landry – 1968 to 1978

Greg Laundry had a long distinguished career as the Detroit Lions signal caller.  Landry spent 11 seasons with the Lions and although he wasn’t always the starter amassed enough passing yards to land him the number four spot on the franchises all-time passing yardage list. He also stands out for his ability to perform in the clutch with eight game winning drives to his credit.

Laundry’s best season was his first as a starter. He led Detroit to a 10-4 record only to lose in the divisional round of the playoffs in 1968. He followed that stellar season with a  pro-bowl selection in 1971.

Landry often shared time with another fan favorite Bill Munson but Landry’s career numbers and longevity earn him a spot on the list over his roster rival.

Greg Landry would go on to serve as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears under Mike Ditka after his playing days in Detroit.
