Round 6 & 7
Round 6, Pick 13 Selection: K Chris Boswell – Rice
Other candidate: K Nate Freese – Boston College Simply put, the Lions need a kicker and Boswell is best guy on the board. Other kickers have been linked to the Lions, but in this case I’m going with the best guy available.
Round 7, Pick 12 Selection: WR Shaq Evans – UCLA
Other candidate: WR Mike Davis I like the upside Evans brings this late in the draft. He has good size and was highly recruited out of high school. His play tailed off during his collegiate career, but at the end of the draft, he’s worth snatching up. I think he could compete for a roster spot or sit on the practice squad.
